NADA SAKAL-NOVAKOVIC
I was born in the part of former Yugoslavia which is now Croatia. I grew up in Belgrade and graduated from a Teachers College there. I started my career as a kindergarten teacher and studied clinical psychology specializing working with children with behavioral, communicational and language problems . When the civil war in my country started we moved to Vienna, Austria and then to Los Angeles. There, at a Montessori School, I taught German and Russian language kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade. Since 1995 I started teaching children of The Woodlands by the Montessori method, as well as developed and presented seminars to teachers and parents, and inspired some of my assistants and parents to become certified Montessori teachers themselves. For years, I was consulting for Montessori projects in Serbian Schools. I have two children, daughter Aleksandra and son Ivan and they’re both grown up now. I love nature, art, poetry, and have a 2nd degree black belt in Aikido. This school was my dream for years, and I have an enormous respect and gratitude for parents who share their most valuable possession- their children, with me. |

I play tennis and I’m a 3rd degree black belt in Aikido in which I still train regularly.I have 3 Grandchildren that keep me busy on the weekends.
